The Administrator District Government Hyderabad in this regard has declared Rain/Flood Emergency; therefore, no officer/official shall leave Headquarters without prior approval of this office. All officers/officials of civic/services departments shall also perform their duties during Eid Holidays starting from 31st August 2011, till emergency is over. In view of above, advised to gear-up your all efforts and ensure functioning of all machinery and manpower round the clock to combat any eventuality during heavy rain pour. Also, please ensure that control rooms are functional as per duty rostrum even in odd hours and mobile numbers of officers/officials may not be switched off.

Administrator Hyderabad Visit Central Jail, Women Jail and Children

27 August 2011, To ensure the Legal Aid, committees should be organized at Government level to solve the legal problems of helpless prisoners. It was said by the Administrator Hyderabad Mr. Ahmed Bux Narejo while visiting the Central Jail, Women Jail and Children. He invited the bountiful/stable persons and civil society to come forward to help prisoners who are unable to help prisoners who are unable to pay even minor penalties. At this occasion Superintend of Central Jail Hyderabad reveal that most of the prisoners are not produced before the court due to insufficient staff and lack of prisoner’s vehicle. As a result of the prisoners of minor cases remain behind the bar over the years.
Visiting the Central Jail Hospital, the Administrator Hyderabad praised hospital administration for providing better medical facility to the prisoners. He was told that the facilities of Ultrasound, X-Ray, and ECG also provide to the sick prisoners.
Mr Ahmed Bux distributed the Eid Gifts to woman and children in women Jail. He referred that Government is striving its best to provide better facilities to the prisoners in Jail as well to provide legal aid to them. For the children prisoners, Administrator Hyderabad also stressed the management to pay proper attention on the education to bring up them as better citizens.

Independence day celebration in Hyderabad

August 14,2011 , Like other part of the country the Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and glory in Hyderabad District. All the Districts and Semi District Government Buildings were eliminated with electric bulbs. The Independence Day celebration was centrally arranged in District Nazim Secretariat Hyderabad. The Honorable Guest District Administrator inaugurated the ceremony by hosting the flag at 9 a.m. , Mr Ahmed Bux Narejo congratulated Pakistan national specially to the citizens of Hyderabad. He said today is the day of great pleasure and review; what we gain and lost in past 64 years. He said the country was not donated to us but is a result of great sacrifices of our ancestors. The immigrants from India have also great sacrifices for this country. The Sindh has made this country and embraced those who migrated from india leaving behind all their holdings and assets. He further said the living nations seek their path thorough ignorance and mistakes in past. He said today our country need the same enthusiasm as we had at the time freedom of the country because emotions are valued not the age of a nation. Today we should pledged that we will get together our hand to work for the development of Pakistan. On this occasion he announced cash award of Rs 20,000/= (twenty thousand) presenting Nationals song and tablo; he also give Rs 10,000 each to the police presenting salami over there.
The celebration was attended by EDO Revenue Hyderabad, SDA ,Education Department , Police and the officers from other departments as well and a huge number of citizens. Lastly Mr Ahmed Bux Narejo planted a neem tree in memory.

Hyderabad is the Heart of Sindh

August 14,2011,To frame Hyderabad city as well developed city of the country , we all have to work together for the development of Hyderabad “ Which is the heart of Sindh and the important city of the country” said by Administrator Hyderabad.
During the conversation with media Mr Ahmed bux narejo , District Administrator Hyderabad said at the ceremony of Independence Day celebrated at District Nazim Secretariat. If he further added that Hyderabad City is focusing today on the problems of shortage of purified drinking water, water & sewerage disposal and other development works. He said that last year the half of the city was sink in rain while this year the loses are reduced. He said the workers of all department have worked hard and saved the city from big losses. The rain water pounded in Qasimabad. The departments of District Government controlled the situation. Present Government have framed a solid plan for betterment of Hyderabad. Due to rain electric supply was cutoff for 35 hours so we had to arrange alternate system to evaporate the water. Replying to a question he said, the citizens were facing problem due to electric failure for which we were in regular contact with haisco , who explained their problem of technical site.

Tax free and surplus budget for year 2011-12

Tax free and surplus budget for year 2011-12 worth rupees 7230.95482 million was presented today in district Nazim Secretariat Hyderabad by Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri, the District Administrator Hyderabad. Addressing the meting Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri said that is sufficient amount has been allocated for development and education in the district with imposing any new tax. He told that the total income for 2011-12 is expected rupees 7230.95482 million as against the expected expenditure of rupees 7230.771.thus rupees 0.183 million will remain surplus. The expected source of income for 2011-12 Shell we received from govt of Sindh under single line transfer system (salaries underdevelopment expenditure, ADE) are received rupees 0111.617215 million. Were as rupees 163.963057 million are expected from district octroi, other than rupees 478.034000 million are expected trough district octroi, TMF grand is expected Rs 177.188938 million is expected own income Whereas Rs 11.441395 million is expected income from EX district council Hyderabad Other than an opening balance with the district is Rs 288.710215 million. Thus total income of district govt of Hyderabad would be Rs 7230.95482 million as in compression of Rs 7230.771 million Expenditures. Living in surplus Rs 0.183 million. His further code that district govt Hyderabad has allocated s 5758.570 million for upgrading the education which comes 79.63% of the total budged. This includes Rs126 million for the betterment of teaching stuff and to solve their problems and increase educational atmosphere for the children to health facilities to the people and amount of Rs 951.899 million. That is 13.44% of the budged as been a located to the health department for disaster management system Rs 50 millions have been a located as against 20 million last year. He said in the head of stuff salaries he expected expenditures are estimated Rs 4944.150 that is 80589% are allocated under developing expanses Rs 825.100 that is only 13.49% are allocated. He further said that for annual development program Rs 583.497 millions are allocated. Which is 9.54% of the budged for new and current development program including citizen community board, district Administrative Hyderabad added that the salaries of all govt servants has been increased by 15% as well convenes allowance of non gusseted employs has been increased by 25% and more over to introduce especial budged for schools. The district govt will have to borne Rs 586 million in addition. Owe ever, he said, district govt has made its best efforts to prepare the budged according to common man expectations.

Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri, District administrator Hyderabad as strictly advised to start comprehensive campaign against encroachment and to loss latest machinery to clean this city drain. He expressed these views while inspecting the cleaning and greening progress in Qasam-a-bad, Latif-a-bad and the rest city. He added that all the sweepers should be present all time. Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri also requested to the residence of the area to keep clean the streets and mouhallas like there houses. He asks them to throw their garbage at TME points for its disposal. He asks to avoid the burning of garbage to save the atmosphere from pollution. He ask the officers to clean drainage system throw heavy machinery before it rains, to avoid losses and he advice to keep Motercoms and generators ready in working order.

Expressing his deep concern over the compaign for eradication of Polio, Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri District Administrator Hyderabad, stress the Health Department and officers of other relative department to against Polio a serious desease not only as their duty but to serve for the pleasure of GOD. His expressed his views in his address presiding over a meeting in the Office of District Nazim Secteriat.The representative of W.H.O were also present there, other than EDO Health Dr. Buskh Ali Putani, EDO Revenue Asif Memon, EDO Finance and Planing Aijaz ul Hasan other officers from Education Department, Auqaf and Police be known that Polio eradication compaign Hyderabad will continue from 13th june 2011 to 15th june 2011. “To provide basic health facilities to the people is one of First preference of the Government for which no stone will remain un turned” said Mr Aftab Ahmed Khatri, District Administrator in his address. He further added “we shal have upgrade our network to keep Hyderabad Polio free zone”. We shall have to adopt effective efforts to create awarness in the people against this evil desease for the success of vaccination for eradication of Polio for which seminar will be arranged at the level of U.C, for the awarness of people in general.

Meeting held on April 25th 2011 regarding the security measure of monsoon

DCO/Administrator Aftab Ahmed Khatri has strictly Instructed to Wasa, Revenue, irrigation and Health Department including all the talukas TMOs to complete all the security measures must be done in expected rains of coming monsoon, to clear the drains, maintenance of pumping station, ambulance, present Para medical staff, control room, stand by generator with diesel. If otherwise no excuse would not be accepted and irresponsible department would be punished according to the law he said.

TO PROVIDE HEALTH FACILITIES IS PRIME PREFERENCE OF DISTRICT GOVERNMENT HYDERABAD

“To provide the basic health facilities to the people of the District is one of the prime preference of the District Government Hyderabad” said by Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khatri, the District Administrator Hyderabad in a meeting presided over by him in Administrator’s Secretariat for Polio Elimination and Awareness Campaign. In the meeting EDO Health Dr. Bux Ali, Dr. Masood Hussain Jaferi and Dr. Altaf Ahmed Khero and other concern officers were also present. He further added that an effective scheme has been formed, to provide awareness in the people for the success of the Polio Vaccination Scheme.
Polio vaccination scheme in District Hyderabad will be continued from 9th to 11th May 2011. During the campaign 314008 Children upto the age of 5 years will be treated through 673 mobile teams , 90 Fitness Centers and 32 Transit points. Beside that throughout the whole District 7 Focal Persons at Talukas level, 25 Zonal Supervisors and 156 Area Incharges have been appointed who will supervise the campaign in 52 union councils of the District.
Administrator directed all responsible officers to prepare strong network to serve all around the corners of the District Hyderabad.

Hyderabad declared sister city of OHIO, USA. Formal Signing Ceremony was held on 15th February 2011 in Toledo USA. DCO / Administrator Hyderabad signed an agreement with Toledo Mayor Mr Bell. First Time children from Hyderabad have been invited to participate in International Youth Academy being held in Toledo USA.

HOUSE LISTING OPERATION CENSUS-2011

Hyderabad has been divided into five districts of the city’s four talukas: Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad Rural and the Cantonment.
Mr. Abftab Ahmed Khatri, Administrator, District Government, Hyderabad told that each taluka had been further divided into blocks. The city would have 720 blocks – Latifabad was divided into 614 blocks, Qasimabad into 174 blocks, Hyderabad Rural comprised 357 blocks and Cantonment had 90.
This kind of a division would ensure that flood survivors and even those people who are living on encroached land would be counted, he explained. The residents of areas by the river would be counted in their blocks as well. Each block has around 200 to 250 housing units.
When the flood hit last year, at least 35 villages in the kachcha or riverine areas of Hyderabad were evacuated. The district government had estimated the population of these villages was around 25,000.

District Government Hyderabad sets up Main Control Room for 6th population & housing census

A control room has been established in the DCO Hyderabad’s Camp Office for providing information regarding 6th Population & Housing Census to be conducted by Government of Pakistan. The census will be held in two phases. The first phase will consist of the preparation of the lists of houses and the marking work from5th April to 19th April 2011, while in the second phase will be held in August and September 2011 to gather the data regarding number of family members and housing units
